hitting the "pause" button

no chit-chat

just a single photo

a glimpse

our life, here and now

forever etched in my mind

and in my heart

  8. Beautiful moment! I am amazed and enthralled at your bravery in moving to the mountains (which ones?) We currently live in a suburb in the woods north of Houston and will be relocating to a small town in North Dakota come June. I felt brave when we made the decision to go, I hope our transition is smooth and we love the small town. I loved reading your posts about your move and adjusting.

Thanks for stopping by our blog and commenting!

  9. Yes, Earth Mama, they are sometimes a little too tame. We had 9 in our yard this morning and 2 of them walked right up the porch steps and stopped 4 feet from our door! We love being so close to nature and these beautiful creatures, but perhaps not THAT close!

  10. Welcome, Dialing Home. I hope your new surrounding suit you and happiness abounds! Thank you for your kind comments (and, truthfully, I don't feel all that brave! I often have moments of feeling overwhelmed and anxious about the new life we have chosen).

  11. People who frequently have deer in their yards seldom enjoy it as much as people who don't get them think they should, and since I've never had such an experience I'm quite jealous! What a great shot, capturing what appears to be a steady stand-off.

  12. I love how the pig tales and the dear ears sort of mirror each other. It reminds me how we are all connected.

    Thanks!
